Nothing concrete to say yet but I'm leaving in 2 days. The above is what I will be leaving - my son Ben and one of my cats. I'll also be leaving behind my husband and my other cat (but I don't have a picture to post). The packers came today and took nearly 450 lbs. of household goods in two huge boxes to be airshipped to Togo. Not sure when it will arrive but I believe it won't be more than 1 month and there is stuff at the house in Lome (the capital) to use till I arrive. Below are pictures of the house in which I will be living. It is large (I think 4 bedrooms) and just I will be living there!
Since it is very dark from 6pm to 6am and since I will be working from 7:30am till 5pm I'll have a cook who will also shop for me. I'll be arriving during the dry season but it will be hot and humid - I've been checking the weather in Lome since I knew I was going there (about 2 months) and it's been about 90 every day and about 75 every night. It will be quite a contrast to the remnents of the blizzard here. More when I actually get there...
